This week saw the second shoot for Mayhem magazine published. I was once again working with talented Tori Harris, Make-up Artist Extrodinare. Her article features monthly in the magazine and I was luck enough to be shooting again for her.
This months issues is based around the theme of Valentines days, so the article was based around that theme and so was the shoot. We drafted in Model Amy Kibler for the shoot. Tori got to work making her look more fantastic than she already does. We then got straight into the shoot.
We were looking for a simple look, sultry and sexy without being over the top. Amy is a fantastic model and the poses were effortless for her. 20 Minutes later, we had plenty of shots to choose from.
This is the image used in the magazine:

This is the tearsheet:

Hopefully there will be more in the magazine over the coming months. Check back to see more.

Last year I was contacted to see if I would do a photo shoot birthday party for some teenagers. They just wanted a simple studio shoot with a few group shots and then shots of the individuals. I was happy to take on the party as working with teenagers is usually fun, and sometimes challenging.
It was for Alice's birthday and her parents had hired out a hall for us to use near their home. My studio is quite portable so this was no problem and I arrived in plenty of time to get set up. Whilst I was setting up, the girls were arriving and getting excited/nervous for the shoot.
Once I was set up we started with a the group shots of the girls dressed up, unfortunately I cannot show you the group shots as one of the girls parents has not given permission for them to be online, which is a shame. I then moved onto taking some individual shots.
A quick background change and we were shooting again with the girls individually, I was using a new blue background that I had recently purchased for a future job. I was delighted with the outcome as I wanted something that would convert well to black and white Images. Before finishing up I got some shots of the whole group again and a few cheeky shots of Alice's brother Samuel.
I have chosen my favourite shots from the shoot to show you.

I thought this was a great idea and so I am offering Birthday Party Photo Shoots as a new product for 2012. The cost for a party is dependant on how many people are going to be in the shoot. Minimum of 4 people with the cost starting at £250.00 which includes a 4 free prints. For more information or to make an enquiry, contact me on 07590 901488 or email me dg@davidgreensmith.co.uk

Last december I was approached by Tori Harris (makeup Artist) to shoot some images for an article she was submitting to be published. I was happy to oblige, and arrived at her flat in Fareham to get to work. She had casted in model Aemelia Edwards to be in the pictures.
I decided that I would also video the transformation that takes place when Tori gets to work, so there is a video below. It is a time delay as the process take some time, so I don't want anybody getting bored.
Here is the image to be featured in the magazine.

and here is a tearsheet from the magazine, if you out in portsmouth, why not pick yourself a copy for free and have a look.

The time lapse video.
I have plans to shoot for next months magazine, so check back shortly to see next months effort!

A few weeks ago I photographed some children for a local couple who wanted some images of their two children together, unfortunately it would seem the children had other ideas as getting them to stay together for a second proved near on impossible. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Whilst one of the children was making a bid for freedom I managed to capture this shot of him playing.
I should explain they were dressed for a christmas photo as the plan was to use them for christmas cards, and so this is the ideal image for me to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

After the last shoot with Katie, I was very interested when she wanted to shoot again. I once again asked Clare Greathead to come along, this time for a studio session. I wanted to do something a bit edgier and this combination worked very well in the previous shoot. I had a few props with me but set up with a basic grey background. Once clare had finished doing her magic on the Katie, we were straight into the shoot.
Without knowing or even trying we ended up shooting a pin-up. Katies tights designed to look like suspenders, had set the whole thing off, 20 minutes late I had more great work to show off. Here are some of my favourites from the shoot:

This was another favourite shoot from this year and I am very proud of these images, as Katie and Clare should be too. If you would like to book a shoot call me on 07590 901488 or email me dg@davidgreensmith.co.uk
