Paris Smith Solicitors – Commercial Photography

A couple of weeks ago I was shooting for Southamptons premier solicitors, Paris Smith. My brief was to capture some images of their premises at 1 London Road, Southampton. Ideally on a sunny day, however on the original arranged date, it was somewhat less than sunny. I was also to capture some images of the safety curtain at the Mayflower theatre in Southampton and als at the Rose Bowl Cricket ground (both of which are sponsored by Paris Smith.) The Images were for use on a mouse mat to be produced for Paris Smith.

We started out at the Mayflower, I decided to use the lighting that was already in the Mayflower rather than setting up my own lighting. Having taken images at several angles and positions I decided this was my favourite. I like the fact the seats lead the eye forward to the curtain. 

After the Mayflower it was a quick dash back to London Road to capture some images of the building and signage. 

Before heading out to the next part of the shoot I was asked if I would do a quick photo opportunity to go with a press release that was imminent. Naturally I was more than happy to and I love shot chosen, as for the weather, if you can't beat it, use it! Umbrellas at the ready! 

Feeling a little damp but still enjoying the challenge, I headed down to the Rose Bowl, home of Hampshire Cricket. I was hoping the weather may have picked up at this point however it wasnt to be, but at least it had stopped raining! 

Once at the Rose Bowl, I set about finding the best way to show off the sponsorship, and I decided I liked the panorama of the stadium, with the sponsorship at the front. 

After completing the shoot, I wasnt satisfied that I had met the brief, so I decided I would go back on a sunny day for a quick top up session. The following week I visited the London Road office and the Rose bowl to get some more shots in the sun. 

I am looking forward to seeing the finished item in the near future. I will share this with you asap!
